WHEREAS, The City Council has granted approval for construction
of the ATWATER -KENT RELIEF SEWER SYSTEM under Preliminary Order C. F.
201003, approved February 28, 1961, and Final Order C. F. 203482,
approved August 15, 1961, and
WHEREAS, detailed plans and specifications for said improvement
will not be completed in sufficient time to permit advertising for
bids thereon until commencement of the summer maintenance season, and

WHEREAS, A portion of the said improvement on Arundel Street
between Burgess Street and Topping Street extends through the aggregate
stockpile yard for the Municipal Asphalt Plant, which yard must be
accessable to permit operation of the Asphalt Plant during construc-
tion season;- therefore, be_ i t --
RESOLVED, That the City-Council hereby approves the installation
of a 260 lineal foot 1,ength of sewer on Arundel Street between Burgess
and Topping Streets as shown on attached plan 62- S -408A, and the Com-
missioner of'Public Works is hereby directed to construct said portion
of ATWATER -KENT RELIEF SEWER SYSTEM using City Forces and that the
Purchasing Agent proceed to secure the necessary materials, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the construction cost of $13,000 be
financed from the Permanent Improvement Revolving Fund to be reim-
bursed from City's Share of Local Improvement Fund, Code 31 E -1.
