PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK UNCIL RESOLUJIOIGENERAL FORM COUNCIL Ng O5 59 FILE WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from January lst to January 15th 1962 inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work; l) Repairing equipment, various stations. 2 Working extra shifts, various stations. 3 Repairing water mains, service connections and hydrants. 4 Driving country crew to and from work. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances; 1) Necessary to do work during low consumption hours. 2 Absence of employees on regular shifts. 3 In order to supply water to consumers as soon as possible. 4 On acoount of scattered work locations.
