RESOLVED, That upon recommendation of the Commissioner of Public
Works application be made to the Commissioner of Taxation of the State
of Minnesota for a conveyance under the terms of MS-P. Section 282.01
of the unimproved tax- forfeited lands described as follows:
(Except avenue) all of Lots 1 and 2 and the south 80 feet of
Lots 3 and 4, Block 1; also Lot 28, Block 5, in Stinson's Boulevard
Addition to St. Paul; also
all of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4,' and 5, Block 3; those parts of Lots 1
through 6, Block 6, lying east of a line from a point on the
north line of Lot 1, 50 feet east of the west line thereof to
a point on the south line of Lot 3, 95 feet east of the east
line of Griggs Street, thence south parallel to said street
to the south line of Lot 6; and all of Lots 9, 10, 11, and 12,
Block 6, in St Clair St. and Short Line Addition to the City
of St Paul, Plat 2,
for use for slopes, cuts and fillsjfor street, alley, and service road
purposes in connection with the development of the Short Line Road.

To the Mayor and Council
of the City of Saint Paul
Gentlemen and Madam:
Submitted are two maps showing the de-
velopment of the Short Line Road between St. Clair and Sum-
mit Avenue.- Certain parcels of tax- forfeited land which
are colored -in yellow-on-the maps are required.
Inasmuch as the Short Line Route will be
below the elevation of the surrounding area, lands outside
of the actual right -of -way are required for the construction
of suitable slopes, cuts and fills. In addition, a portion
of Lots 3 and 4, Block 1, Stinson's Boulevard Addition, will
be needed for the construction of.an alley turn - around to
serve the properties abutting the alley.
In order that the city may acquire title
to these lands, I recommend that application be made to the
Commissioner of Taxation of the State of Minnesota for a
conveyance under,the terms of Mk Section 282.01.
