WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has agreed to permit
the City of Saint. Paul to use a certain area belonging to
the Department of Highways for the purpose of said storage
according to the conditions as contained in a letter dated
January 9, 1962 from the Department of Highways, copy of
which letter is attached hereto and made a part of this'
resolution; and
WHEREAS, the area involved is bounded by 11th Street,
12th Street, Robert and Jackson Streets, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby agrees to all of the conditions for such permit as
set out in the attached letter and hereby authorizes and
directs the Commissioner of Public Works to forward to the
Department of Highways of the State of Minnesota a certified
copy of this resolution, accepting the above mentioned terms.

Storage on Right of Way
Pursuant to our telephone conversation
of this day, we have discussed with others of the staff, your request to use
certain area of trunk highway right of way for temporary storage of vehicles
removed from streets in the vicinity.
It is agreeable for the City to use the
area bounded by 11th Street, 12th Street, Robert and Jackson under the following
conditions:
The City shall save the State harmless from any and all claims °arising
out of or caused by such use.
The City shall receive and care for any and all complaints arising from
such use.
This permit for such use shall terminate March 319 1962.
The City shall be responsible for cleanup, removal of any debris
and restoration required because of such use.
Kindly return one copy of this letter,
accepting the conditions of this permit, by an officer duly authorized to bind
the City.
