RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint
Paul, that official cognizance hereby is taken and re-
corded concerning -the extensive and meritorious public
service career of Donna A. Sampson, late of the City of
Saint Paul, wherein said Donna A. Sampson unselfishly
and effectively strove to further and protect the public
interests, particularly in the important fields of Civics,
Education and Social Service, as President of League of
Women Voters, member of Board of Directors of Interclub
Council, member of Board of Directors of Leisure Time
Council, and as a�'prominent participant in Parent Tea ,
chers Association and Girl Scouts Activities, principally
within said City of Saint Paul, and which public service.
career culminated in her untimely and unfortunate acci«4-
dental death on August 19, 1961; that in commemoration
of said decedent and her aforesaid laudable career, this
Council confers upon said Donna A. Sampson, posthumously,
the "Citation of Merit in Civic Affairs "; and that the
City Clerk hereby is directed to cadse a duly certified
copy of this Resolution to be delivered to William L.
Sampson, the surviving spouse of said decedent, with
all convenient speed.
