RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Water
Department, Filtration Plant, c/o R. A. Thuma, 1900 Rice Street, Saint Paul,
Minnesota, 60 Tons (approx.- one year's supply) Anhydrous Ammonia, Refrigeration
Grade, to J. W. JONES CHEMICAL COMPANY, INC. in accordance with City specifications
and the Formal Bid #8604 of said J. W. Jones Chemical Company, Inc. for the
contract price of approximately ,55,659.20, such bid being the lowest meeting City
specifications and said J.,W. Jones Chemical Company, Inc. being a reasonable and
reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be.and hereby is directed to draw up
the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are
authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
