RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the
Department of .Public Works, Bureau of Municipal Equipment, 891 North Dale Street,
St. Paul, Minnesota for use of Paving Plant, Two 1962 Ford F -700 Trucks with
Perfection 7020IM Hoists and LaHass #154 Dump Bodies to EAST SIDE MOTOR SALES, INC.
in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid
#8595 of said East Side Motor Sales, Inc., at a cost of $9,322.00 less allowance
of $550.00 for 1952 model 520PW Diamond T dump truck, Serial 5202681 (City No. 20)
and $575.00 for 1953 model R192 Intl dump truck, Serial 21994 (City No. 18) to be
taken in trade, making net amount of contract $8,197.00, such bid being the lowest
and said East Side Motor Sales, Inc. being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the
Corporation Counsel be and'hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract
therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said
contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
