RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to the Water Department,
to Spur Track to be designated, St, Paul, Minnesota, 1200 Lineal Fleet of 30" Prestressed
Concrete Cylinder .Pipe and Fittings (Class 150) with rubber and steel joints and
appurtenances, to LACK JOINT PIPE COMPANY in accordance with City plan and specifications
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #8648 of said Lock Joint Pipe Company for
the contract price of approximately $23,688,00 (Board of Water Commissioners r eserving
the right to increase the materials of the contract by an amount not to exceed twenty

per cent of the quantity indicated), such bid- -being the lowest and said bidder being

a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be ardiherebyis directed to
draw up the proper form of contract therefor,.and the proper City officials hereby are
authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
