WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks and Recreation
and Public Buildings has reported, in accord-
ance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the
existence of an emergency during the period
from February 1 to 15, 1962, which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees
of the Department of Parks and Recreation and
Public Buildings for more than eight hours
per day or forty hours per week in doing the
following work:_-
'
(a) Inspection at the First National
;
Bank Building.
(b) Building designing in the Architect's
office. _
And WHMEAS, This emergency arose by reason of the
following facts and circumstances:
(a) The work is done at night only.
(b) Rush job.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper city
_officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employees who performed such work in accord-
ance with the provisions of the Council's
salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446. _
