WHEREAS, property belonging to Mr. John E. Nielsen
of 1443 Edgerton Street located on Edgerton Street and
Arlington Avenue and legally described as Lots 9, 10 and
11, Block 4, Farrar's Addition to the City of Saint Paul,
Ramsey County, Minnesota, was damaged due to field grading
of Arlington Avenue; and
WHEREAS, said damages kere1vt included in the
condemnation of said land, pursuant to Council File
No. 19548�;and
WHEREAS, the City Council requested an appraisal
of damages by the Valuation and Assessment Engineer and
the same now having been completed;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Saint Paul that it pay to Mr. John E . Nielsen the sum of
$464.00, in accordance with the appraisal made by the
Valuation and Assessment Engineer for all claims arising
out of the field grading of Arlington Avenue, the award
representing the construction costs of a cement block
retaining wall .necessitated by the above - mentioned grading.
