WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from January lst through February 3rd, 1962 which rendered necessary the employ-
ment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia,
Bureau of Auditoriumj for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing
the following work;
Operate ventilating systems, PBX Switchboard, and supervise during various events
held in the building.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances;
No other trained help available to work during hockey games, convention and
Winter Carnival events held in the building, this time includes Saturdays,
Sundays and Holidays.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDp that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pair the
emplo )iees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councilts
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
