A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is to reconstruct the sidewalk on the east side of
Griggs from Van Buren north to the alley approx. 125 ft. abutting the property known
as 1217 Van Buren Ave., "except where good and sufficient sidewalks now exist."
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improve 1e�nt,lj}. accordance therewith.

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council, known as Council File No, 204841
approved Nov. 17th, 19 61 relative to reconstructing the side-
walk on the east side of Griggs from Van Buren north to the alley approx-
imately 125 ft, abutting the property known as 1217 Van Buren Ave.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $ 0.52 per sq. ft, for .mono. cone, walk
4" thick. Extra work(excay., fill, cone, rem'd, root cutting, drive
crossingss,etc,)at extra cost.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made
a part hereof.
3. Initiated by the Commissioner of Public Works
4. Improvement is asked for upon petition X
