Matterhorn in June, 2007.
The assessment of benefits, cost and expenses for and in connection with the
above improvement having been submitted to the Council, and the Council having
considered same and found the said assessment satisfactory, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and the same is hereby in al1 respects
appxoved.
RESOI,VED F'URTHER, That a public hearing be had on said assessment on the 19th
day of September, 2007 at the hour of 5:30 P•.M. in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building, in the City of St. Paul; that the Valuation and
Assessment Engineer give notice of said meetings, as required by the Charter, stating
in said notice the time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement, and the
amount assessed against the lot or lots o£ the particular owner to whom the notice is
directed.

A new state law entifled Tenani Remedies Ac6on, provided authority for individuals and organizations to seek court assistance in
facilitating the repair of properties with numerous code violations. The court appointed an adminishator who performed the necessary
repairs on this properiy. The administrator ffien invoiced the Ciry for the cost.
Advantages If Approveda
The Ciry will be able to recover the cost of repairing this condemned properiy and making if safe and habitable. The City also can
replenish its funds for future rehabilitation work ttuough the Tenants Remedy Acrion Program.
