3 d/b/a Solo Restaurant & Bar, LLC (License ID #20060003945) for the premises located at 111 Kellogg
4 Boulevazd East in Saint Paul by Notice of Intent to Suspend Licenses dated June 21, 2007, alleging
5 licensee canceled their liquor liability insurance effective May 22, 2007 in violation of St. Paul Legislative
6 code §409.26 (b) (12); and

WHEREAS, licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Suspend Licenses to contest the
allegations; and

11 WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Suspend Licenses stated that if the licensee failed to contest the
12 allegations by July 2, 2007, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the
13 recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it

15 RESOLVED, that all licenses held by Solo Restaurant & Bar LLC, d/b/a Solo Restaurant & Baz,
16 LLC aze hereby suspended.

NOTICE OF INT'ENT TO SUSPEND LICENSES

the premises located at 111 Keliogg Boulevard East in Saint Paul
License ID No.:20060003945

The Deparhnent of Safety and Inspections will recotnmend suspension of a111icenses held by
Solo Restaurant & Bar, LLC, d/b/a Solo Restaurant & Bar, LLC for the prexnises located at 111
Kellogg Boulevazd in Saint Paul. The basis for the recommendation is as follows:
On May 11, 2007, the Department of Safety and Inspections received nofice
that you were cancelling your liquor liability insurance effective May 22,
2007.
This is a violation of Saint Paul Legislative Code §409.26 (b)(12). The licensing office will
recommend suspension of ali your licenses until such time as can you submit a current certificate
of liquar liability insurance with no lapse in coverage.
At this time, you haue three options on how to proceed:
You can submit a current certificate of liquor liability insurance with no lapse in
coverage. If fhis is your choice, piease send it to the Department of Safety and
Inspecfions (DSn at 8 Fourth Sireet East, Suite 200, St. Paul, Minnesota 55101-1002 no
later than Monday, July 2, 2007. Information should be directed to the attention of
Christine Rozek. Submission of the requested 'msurance information will be considered
to be a waiver of the hearing to which you aze entitled.

2. ffyou wish to have a public hearing before the Saint Paul City Council, you will need to
send me a letter with a statement a.dmittiug the facts and requesting a public hearing. We
will need to receive your letter by Monday, July 2, 2007. The matter will then be
scheduled before the City Council for a public hearing to determine whether suspend
your licenses. You will have an opportunity to appear before the Council and make a
statement on your own behalf:
3. If you dispute the above facts, you can request a hearing before an Acluiinistrative Law
Judge. At that hearing both you and the Ciiy wiil be able to appeaz and present
witnesses, evidence and cross-exawine each other's witnesses. The St. Paul City Council
will ultimately decide the case. If this is your choice, please advise me no later than
Monday, July 2, 2007, and I will take the necessary steps to schedule the adxni.nistrative
hearing.
If you have not contacted me by that date, I will assume that you are not contesting
the suspension of your licenses.
