10 o'clock A. M. on the 20th day of February, 1962, to con-

of Saint Paul and to confirm the amount thereof; be it

Dear Council Members:
A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on
this date for the purpose of creating a lien on the property known
as approximately 1389 Hawley Street, described as Lot 26, Block 5,
Hager's Subdivision of Lots 1 to 7 and 14 to 18 of Walcott's Addi-
tion to Cottage Homes. This property was owned by Olivia Callan -
der, 3244 Owasso Heights, St. Paul 12, and Hart Callender, 1315
Rice Street, St. Paul 17.
In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by the City
Council:
C. F. 199520, adopted by the Council November 2, 1960 (published
November 5, 1960), set a public hearing at 10 A. M. November 23,
1960.
C. F. 199823, adopted by the Council December 1, 1960 (published
December 3, 1960), ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost
and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in control
thereof.
C. F. 200230, ado ted by the Council December 28, 1960 (Published
December 31,. 1960, directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recrea-
tion And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and re-
move the dwelling thereon, and do any and all things therein neces-
sary for the protection of life, limb, and adjoining property.
C. F. 203803, ado ted by the Council September 7, 1961 (published
September 9, 1961, approved the award of the contract for wreck-
ing to Patsy Wrecking Co. for the sum of $337.00 in accordance
with specifications and Informal Bid No. 2986.
By reason of the removal of the building by party or parties un-
known, Guy Patsy & Sons Inc. were not able to enter upon and re-
move said structure and f -fled a claim for their expenses as set
forth in their Nttice of Claim. C. F. 204903, adopted November 22,
1961 (published November 25, 1961) directed the payment of $60.00
in full settlement and satisfaction of all said claims.

cott's Addition to Cottage Homes. The property was listed in,
the name of Olivia Callander, 3244 Owasso Heights, St. Paul 12
and Hart Callender, 1315 Rice Street, St. Paul 17.
The expense was incurred by reason of the condemnation for re-
moval of the dangerous building thereon in settlement of claim
of Guy Patsy & Sons, Inc., 1379 Rice Street, St. Paul, as per
Council File No. 204903, dated Novem er 22, 1961 in the amount
of $60.00.
We are today requesting the City Council to hold a public hearing
to consider any complaints about the expense incurred and to
confirm the amount.
