1 WfIEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Division of Parks and Recreation, requests permission to request and enter into a
2 grant agreement with the Bremer Foundarion for $50,000; and

4 WIIEREAS, the Bremer Foundarion l�as expressed interest in supporting the development of the Oxford Aquaric
5 Center and Jimmy Lee Recrearion Center development because of the enhancement in serving inner city youth; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of this grant will allow the City to improve the recrearional faciliries for the entire ciry as
well as the Sununit University area; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, does propose that these funds be used to supplement approved City appropriations; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute
such agreements as may be necessary to request and accept this grant on behalf of the City.
