This res- olution, in effect, extends the completion date of the foundation contract for the new city - county hospital from July 15, 1962, to August 10, 1962. This extension of time was requested by Lovering - Sweitzer Contracting En- gineers-because of the severe weather conditions encountered by the con- tractors during the construction of the foundation for the hospital. The piling phase of the contract is substantially completed, and the pile caps will be completed within the next week. Inasmuch as this extension of time will in no way delay the con- struction of the new hospital, the Hospital Facility Building Commission respectfully requests that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, under the provisions of Laws 19570 Chapter 938, approve the attached res- olution.
