In the Matter of changing the grade of the alleys in Block 2, Hamlin Syndicate Addition
No. 2, the East North and South alley and the West North and South alley from Iafond Ave.
to Blair Ave. and the Fast and West alley from the East North and South alley to the
West North and South allep to conform to the grade as shown on the profile on file in
the Department of Public Works. Also grading and surfacing with bituminous material the
alleys in Block 2, Hamlin Syndicate Addition No. 2, the East North and South alley and
the West North and South alley from Lafond Ave. to Blair Ave. and the East and West
alley from the East North and South alley to the West North and South alley to the
proposed change of grade. Also constructing a sewer in the West North and South alley
from the intersection of the East and West alley and the West North and South alley
to the existing sewer in Lafond Ave.
under Preliminary Order 206900 Approved Anril 24, 1962
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to change the grade of
the alleys.in Block 2, Hamlin Syndicate Addition No. 2, the East North and South alley
and the West North and South alley from Lafond Ave. to Blair Ave. and the East and West
alley from the East North and South alley to the West North and South alley to conform
to the grade as shown on the profile on file in the Department of Public Works. Also
grading and surfacing with bituminous material the alleys in Block 2, Hamlin Syndicate
Addition No. 2, the East North and South alley and the West North and South alley from
Lafond Ave. to Blair Ave. and the East and West alley from the East North and South
alley to the West North and South alley to the proposed change of grade. Also construct-
ing a sewer in the West North and South alley from the intersection of the East and
West alley and the West North and South alley to the existing sewer in Lafond Ave.
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 5.1193.g:3
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 28th day of
August, 1962 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M.,. in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
