WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Pazks and Recreation Commission is hosfing a meering on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at
Harriet Island on the Padelford River BoaY aY 5:00 p.m, and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Pazks and Recreation Commission has extended an invitation to many goups, such as the
Minneapolis Pazk Boazd, Planning Commission, Friends of Mississippi, Friends of the Parks, Crreat River Crreening, Ramsey
County Pazk Commissioners, Metropolitan Council Pazks and Open Space, LCMR, St. Paul Delegarion, National Pazk Service,
National Congress, Saint Paul Mayor and City Councilmembers, Audobon Society, Saint Paul Police Chief and Assistant Police
Cluefs, Riverfront Boazd members and Como Zoological Sociery Boazd members, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of the meeting is to discuss joint interesu and cooperation for the benefit of Saint Paul citizenry;
and
1. Coordinate regional recreation issues
2. Developing working relarionslups beriveen various citizen and government groups
3. Develop a inter agency collaborative work plan for the upcoming year
4. Discuss specific projects of muival concern; and
WHEREAS, the Padelford River Boat will leave promptly at 5:30 p.m for a river cruise and retum at approximately 8:30 p.m,
and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is requesting pernrission to spend $1200.00 to provide appetizers for all attendees;
and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Parks and Recreation is authorized to expend city funds on appetizers for those in
attendance atthe meeting.

The Saint Paul Pazks & Recreation Commission is hosting a meeting on Wed., Sept 12, 2007 at Harriet Island on the Padelford River
Boat at 5 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss joint interests and cooperafion, and 1} coordinace regional recreafion issues; 2)
develop working relationships between various citizens and govemment groups; 3) develop a inter agency collaborative work plan for
the upcoming year; and 4) discuss specific projects of mutual concem.
