WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul recently completed
condemnation proceedings for the necessary right -of -way for
Stage I of the Flood Control Project and in connection with
this portion of the project acquired certain permanent easements
from the Pure Oil Company under Council File 201488, approved
April 5, 1961; and
WHEREAS, on March 19, 1962, the Federal Government
requested additional permanent easements on Pure Oil Company
property; and
WHEREAS, negotiations were entered into between the
City of Saint Paul and Pure Oil Company and in the process of
such negotiations the City was informed by the Federal Government
that a portion of the easement as acquired in the .condemnation
above described is no longer required; and
WHEREAS, the Pure Oil Company has consented to grant to
the City of Saint Paul the additional easement requested if the
City would in return quit claim an equal area of easement, previously
taken, back to the Pure Oil Company; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the proper officers of the City of
are hereby authorized and directed to quit claim to the Pure
Company property described as follows:
Saint Paul
Oil
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Lot 14,
Block 11, Bazil and Robert's Addition to West
Saint Paul, County of Dakota, Territory of Minnesota;
thence bearing north 54038' west along the extended
southwesterly line of said Lot 14 a distance of 48.1
feet; thence bearing north 27053' west a distance of
210 feet; thence bearing north 59038' east to a point
lying 210 feet southwesterly of the southwesterly line
