Whereas, the Council has made a study of said report and

The Car Mileage Committee met in my office on Monday morning,
June 18, 1962, and considered the following requests:
DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
The Committee received a request from James J. Dalglish, Commis-
sioner, for authorization of car mileage on C plan - $75.00 a
month, effective June 5, 1962, for James J. Dalglish, Commis-
sioner, and Thomas J. Kelley, Deputy Commissioner. It is the
committee's recommendation that the Council authorize this mile-
age.
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS
A letter signed by Commissioner Loss requested the removal of
Jens Gravesen, Building Inspector, from B plan - $75.00 maximum,
effective June 16, 1962, as Mr. Gravesen has transferred to the
Saint Paul Public Schools. Motion of the committee recommended
that the Council take favorable action on this request.
A letter dated June 15, signed by Commissioner Loss, requested
that Katherine Pepin, Refectory Manager, be placed on C mileage
from June 1 to October 1, 1962, with a maximum of $15.00 per
month. The committee recommends that the Council take favorable
action on this request.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
A letter dated June 8, 1962, signed by John J. Eichinger and
approved by Commissioner Milton Rosen, requested removal of Frank
Robertson, Assistant Public Works Technician from C Mileage -
$60.00 maximum, effective June 11, 1962 as Mr. Robertson is no
longer inspector for the sidewalk division. The committee recom-
mends that the Council take favorable action on this request.
In a letter dated June 13, 1962, signed by John Eichinger and
countersigned by Commissioner Milton Rosen, the committee wa.s
informed that Patrick J. McLaughlin has been assigned to the Oil-
ing Crew as foreman and will use his car in the performance of
