Council City of Saint.Paul Gentlemen: In regard to-the request of the University Lumber Company, 601 University Avenue, for permission to add three strands of barbed wire to the top of their present'511" picket fence around their storage area at this address, it has been ascertained that this is for the purpose of obtaining better protection. The barbed wire will not extend beyond their property lines. An inspection has been made and it is our recommendation that this request be granted. Yours truly, Alf H. Fence Dear Al; University Lumber Co. 601 University Ave. We are having problems with kids clirrning over picket fence, and playing around the lumber piles, after closing, hours, evenings and on Saturday afternoons. This past Saturday, two of the kids were lighting matches in the back section of the covered :19torage area. Luckily, our yard manager was going by at the time. To get better protection, we would like to add 3 strands of barbed wire to the top of the present fence. Top of picket fence above sidewalk is 511". Strands of barbed wire would be above the top of pickets. The barbed wire would not extend beyond our property. We would like approval to go ahead with the fencing as soon as possible. Thanks for your help. Sincerely yours, a Gi be rJ7 'Hamm
