WHEREAS, The Great Northern Railway Company and the City of St. Paul
have mutually agreed between themselves as to the division of work made
necessary in order to repair and reconstruct said bridge as per agreement,
Council File No. 206389, dated March 15,-1962; be it
RESOLVED, That the plans and specifications for the above named improve-
ment, as submitted by the Corms ssioner of Public Works, be and the same are
hereby approved; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Conmissioner of Public Works is hereby
authorized and directed to have City Forces remove the wearing surface,
asphalt planks, streetcar.rails, distributing planks, sidewalk planks,
sidewalk stringers and such concrete as required from said bridge and to
furnish and place on said bridge new sidewalk stringers, and planks and
asphaltic concrete as required on the approaches of said bridge, at an
estimated cost of $12,000.00; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED That the proper City officers be aald they hereby
are authorized and directed to charge the cost for such work, by City
Forces to P.I.R. Fund 3001, to be reimbursed by the State of Minnesota as
per State of Minnesota Maintenance Agreement No. 963, Council File No. 207587,
dated June 7, 1962; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Purchasing Agent be and he is hereby directed
to advertise for bids for the furnishing and placing of the concrete deck
on said bridge and all other work as shown in the plans and specifications,
for this improvement, designated to be done by the "City Contractor."
