INTERMEDIARY ORDER
In the Matter of constructing new ornamental lights on West Fifth Street from St:
Peter Street to Smith Avenue; on West Sixth Street from St. Peter Street to the
intersection with proposed Interstate Freeway approximately 100 ft. west of Main Street;
on West Seventh Street from.St. Peter Street to Seven Corners; on Auditorium Street from
Sixth Street to Ninth Street; orl West Ninth Street from Auditorium Street to St. Peter
Street with new light standards. Also installing new cables, conduits, pull boxes and
all other appurtenances necessary for a complete lighting system, and the removal of
existing standards and foundations.

The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is-hereby ordered to be proceeded with. `

2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to construct new
ornamental lights on West Fifth Street from St. Peter Street to Smith Avenue; on West
Sixth Street from St. Peter Street to the intersection with proposed Interstate Freeway
approximately'100 ft. west of Main Street; on West Seventh Street from St. Peter Street to
Seven Corners; on Auditorium'Street from Sixth Street to Ninth Street; on West Ninth Street
from Auditorium Street to St. Peter Street with new light standards. Also installing

Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 10th day of
July, 1962 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
