RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint
Paul, that, in behalf of said City, that certain Resolu-
tion No. 956, adopted by the Board of Trustees of
Minneapolis -Saint Paul Sanitary District April 9, 19629
by reference incorporated herein, hereby is approved in all
things, the same, said Resolution No. 956, having by its
provisions modified the comprehensive plan of said Sanitary
District as adopted November 13, 1933, and as then modified,
pursuant to and by authority of Chapter 341, Minnesota
Session Laws for 1933, desi ,gnated "Project I -1011, for'the
construction of the Sewage Bystem and Treatment Plant of
said Sanitary District and a program of procedure and work
for the collection, treatment and disposal of sewage and
waste materials of said Sanitary District, so that thereby
provision has been made for the expansion of the Sewage
System and Treatment Plant of said Sanitary District dur-
ing the years 196 9 1964, and 1965, at an estimated and
probable cost of 921,710,000, such expansion to involve
capital additions to said Sewage System and Treatment
Plant which shall provide additional capacity of said
Treatment Plant and increased facilities therein for second-
ary treatment of sewage and waste materials by the high -
rate- ,activated sludge process, among other things, all as
more particularly appears from such comprehensive planA as
the same has been modified by said Resolution 111. 956; and
said Resolution No. 956 having provided for the couttnuc-
tioii of a part of the subject expansion of said Sewage
System and Treatment Plant in the year 1963, at an esti-
mated and probable cost of $7,182,300; and on such account
has adopted therefor its "Capital Additions" portion of
the Budget of said Sanitary District for the year 1963,
in said last men.t1 ned amount and has apportioned the same
for payment as follows: 3 283,747.56 to said City of
Saint Paul and $3,898,552.44 to the City of Minneapolis,
according to said Chapter 341, Minnesota Session Laws for
1933, as amended; Chapter 445, Minnesota Statutes Annotated;
and

RESOLVED FURTHER, that said Council hereby de-
termines that the most appropriate method for the financing
of the apportioned obligation of said City of Saint Paul
on account of said "Capital Additions" Sanitary District
1963 Budget portion, in regard to payment on account of the
portion of such expansion of said Sewage System and Treat-
ment Plant to be constructed during the year 1963, is that
which will involve the issuance and sale of Sewage Disposal
System Bonds of said City, authorized by said Chapter 341,
Minnesota Session Laws for 1933, as amended; Chapter 445,
Minnesota Statutes Annotated, as amended, and accordingly
determines to employ such method of financing therefor;
and that the Corporation Counsel hereby is directed to pre-
pare a proper form of Ordinance for the issuance and sale
of the Sewage Disposal System Bonds of said City in the par
value amount of $393159000 authorized to be issued and sold
by said City for said purpose and similar purposes under and
by said State Statutes, it being provided that the proceeds
of the issuance and sale of such bonds, as the same shall
be authorized by such Ordinance, shall be applied to the
full payment of said City's obligation on account of said
apportionment -to said City under said "Capital Additions"
item of said Budget and the apportionment to said City of
such part of the cost of the portion of the expansion work
aforesaid so provided to be done in the year 1963; pro-
vided that the remainder, if any thereof, may be applied to
the payment of said City's obligations otherwise under any
Budget of said Sanitary District for-the construction,
maintenance, and operation of said Sewage System and Treat-
ment Plant.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that each such Sewage Disposal
System Bond, in said par value amount of $3,315,000, shall
be entitled, in each instance, "City of Saint Paul Sewage
Disposal System Bond, 1,962 "
