PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK �.� OU L RESOLUTION -G E- RIAL FORM •.� PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE DATE COUNCIL NO s!�ll I'IIBLIST �D VBERE,0, " the Council is- considering- the :adoption of ordinances" which have been given numbers '208547 -and 20$549, which ordinances provide for the upgrading of classified graded positions and unclassified exempt positions of employment within the City service; and WIGS, it is the desire and intent of this Council that wage increases which'wM1 be effectuated by upgrading of positions under both of the :aforementioned ordinances shall be" effective as of the 24th day of August; 1962, since further delay'in granting Of salary increases pursuant to the provisions of both of the aforementioned ordinances would be inequitable and constitute-:sal, disservice to City employees covered thereunder, inasmuch as negotiations pertaining to the granting of appropriate -;rage increases have been in process between the Council and the aforesaid City employees for some consiueiable period`of time, and' wage and salary studies have been inprocess during this period of time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that increases of City employees' wages granted' pursuant to' the provisions of proposed Ordinances No:- 208547 ,and No. 208549, pending before the Council, shall be effective as of the 24th day of -August, 1962; and be it - FURTHER RESOLVED, that provisions carrying out the purpose and intent of this resolution shall be incorporated in and become - apart of the aforementioned proposed Ordinances No. 208547 and No. 208549• Council File No. 208795 —By James J.
