WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul and the State of
Minnesota desire;mbtivally to enter into a Cooperative.Agreement
in relation to the Storm Sewer Construction on Trunk Highway No.
35 E at Hoyt Avenue, in this City; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works, and its
Street and Highway Engineering Coordinator, have prepared
plans and specifications for said sewer system as a part of
Trunk Highway No, Z E and plans and specifications have been
designated and considered by the State of Minnesota and its
Department of Highways and by the United States and its Bureau
of Public Roads; and
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the City of Saint
Paul perform all necessary labor and supply all materials
and supervision to construct said storm sewer system as afore-
said, subject to supervision by the State of Minnesota and its
Department of Highways, it being agreed that the State of
Minnesota shall share in construction, engineering, supervision
and inspection costs, paying to said City, as the State's
share of said storm sewer system, an estimated $8,936.86; and
WHEREAS, to effect and implement said proposal, it
is necessary that a written contract be executed by and between
said City and said State, said contract to be known as Cooperative
Agreement No. 53426,
Now, Therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the City of Saint
Paul enter into such contract, as aforesaid, with the State of
Minnesota, it being of advantage to said City to do so, and the
appropriate officers and officials of said City are herewith
empowered to execute said contract.
