O'Connell City Clerk Building Dear Madam: This is in the matter of the application of the St. Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority for a permit to install and operate a 12 car private off- street parking lot in conjunction with six two - family.residences on property located at the southwest corner of ,Marshall Avenue and Victoria Street. The property is described as Lots 1 thru 4, Block 1, Haller's Addition; Lots 1 and 2 and the east 31.16 feet of Lot 3 and Loft. 5 except the west 51.16 feet thereof and except the south 2 feet thereof, all in Block 1, Sanborn's Addition. The property is zoned "B" residence. The site is vacant and has a frontage of 258.14 feet on Marshall Avenue and 150.57 feet on Victoria Street resulting in a total area of 37,160 square feet. The surrounding area uses are entirely single and two- family residences. Field investigation discloses no objection as the proposal will be compatible with the existing area uses and will comply with all of the requirements of the building and zoning codes. The Traffic Engineer has approved the plan which meets the standards for this type of facility. In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the granting of the 12 car private off-street parking lot in accord- ance with plans approved June 21, 1962.
