RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul
that official cognizance hereby is taken and recorded con-
cerning the meritorious career of the late Mr. John 8. Meyers
who was called from this lif' by Almighty God, on the 7th
day of August 1962, in hi , 9th year, wherein he had at-
tained and enjoyed a wel earned reputation for good citizen-
ship and high zeal and proficiency in his field of endeavor,
in the public service, during an extensive period of time as
Member of the /Bureau of Fire -Protection of the Department
of Public Safety of said City; and that there is hereby con-
ferred upon him, posthumously, this "Citation of Merit in
Public Service "; and
RESOLVED FURTHER, that hereby the City Clerk is
authorized and directed to cause a1— - certified
copy of this Resolution to be delivered to the surviving
daughter of said Decedent, Mrs. Joseph Mitchell, with all
convenient speed.
