AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF REGROOVED TIRES
ON MOTOR VEHICLES. `THIS IS AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE
RENDERED NECESSARY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC
PEACE, HEALTH, AND SAFETY. '
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN':
Section 1
It is hereby declared unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to sell or barter any regrooved tire for use on
any self - propelled motor vehicle or to sell any self - propelled
motor vehicle, either new or used, which is equipped with
regrooved tire or tires, except that this prohibition afore-
said shall not apply to self - propelled motor vehicles with
tires having a rim diameter of seventeen inches or more.
Section 11
Any person, firm or corporation guilty of the violation
of this ordinance, upon conviction, shall be fined not more
that $100.00, or imprisoned for not more than 90 days.
Section 111
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the
public peace, health, and safety.
Section 1V
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, approval, and publication.
Section V
Upon passage, approval and publication, this ordinance
shall become a part of and be codified in Chapter 131, "Motor
Vehicles, Traffic Code - Various Offenses ", of the Legislative
Code of the City of Saint Paul.
