RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and
before the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in the
Council Chamber of the Court House -and City Hall, in said
City, as provided in Sec. 1.07, par. 2, St. Paul Legislative
at ten o'clock a. m.,
Code, on January.22, 1963,/upon the advisability and necessity
of the repair, replacement, remodeling, or wrecking -and removal
of the two -story four -plex on the southeasterly 50 feet of
Lot 4, Block 36, Rice And Irvine's .Addition to Town of Saint
Paul, :according to the plat thereof recorded in the office
of the Register of IDeads of Ramsey County., Minnesota, also "'
described-as No. 240 -211,2 .Sherman Street, because said structure .
is reported to be dangerous and unsafe to life, limb, and

Gentlemen:
There is a four -plex at 240 -242 Sherman Street on the South-
easterly 50 feet of Lot 4, Block 36, Rice And Irvine's Addi-
tion to Town of Saint Paul.
This structure is 36 by 48, two stories high, open to van-
dals and fire damaged. Vandals have removed doors, windows,
plumbing fixtures. Wiring is inadequate. Plaster is loose
and falling. Floor joists have dry rot and the floor is hump--
ed and out of level. The rear porch is unsafe. Inside of
the building is a mass of debris and very unsanitary. This
building is dangerous to life, lYmb, and adjoining property
and should be wrecked and removed.
Danger Notices have been posted. The last known record own
is Petra M. Nicholson, 1999 Iglehart Avenue, Saint Paul 4.
Kindly institute condemnation action by setting a public
hearing date in accordance with Section 1.07 -2 of the Saint
Paul Legislative Code.
