THE COUNCIL OF THE, CJ'ZY OF SAINT PAUL, DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That, Ordinance No. 76.07, .approved February 13,
1935, a.s. amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking
out the. title and specifications for !'Assessment Clerkll%

Duties and responsibilities:

the computation of special assessment costs; to supervise and
review the work of Assessment Clerks I and II; and to perform
related work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To assign the computation of assessments to Assessment Clerks I
and H.
To 'review the work of Assessment Clerks I and II for accuracy,
completeness and correctness of method.
To supervise the computing of advance payments for sewer permits.
To locate property from plat, by legal description to abstract the same
from field notes, and compute lineal front footage, quantities and
costs for the purpose of spreading assessments.
Minimum qualifications:
High school graduation and five years' experience in assessment work,
including two years as an Assessment Clerk II.
Section_ 3. This. ordinance shall take. effect and he in force, thirty
days..after its. passage, approval, and. publication.

costs; and to perform related work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To compile and organize assessment rolls.
To answer questions pertaining to pending and current assessments.
To explain the computation of individual assessments.

To issue sidewalk permits or receive petitions for sprinkling.
To explain individual assessments to property owners, and to give
information as to procedure for obtaining sprinkling service or
new sidewalks.
Minimum qualifications:
High school graduation, with'courses in mathematics, and eight years'
clerical experience, at least three years of which must have been
as a senior clerk; or two years of college engineering or mathematics;
or three years, experience as an Assessment Clerk I.
