WHEWS,the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported,in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter,the existence of an emergency during the period
from December 16th.1962 to December 31st.1962, which rendered necessary the employment
of certainn employees in the Department of ,'Public Safety for more than eight hours
per day,or forty hours per week,in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Police & Fire Alarm and
WEIEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of t'he - following facts and circumstances
Emergency repairing, of Traffic Signals.
2BEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pn t'-,a
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the
