PAUL COUNCIL NO. �,f OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FILE COUNCIL RESMUTI.ON— GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONI WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Finance has reported, in accord- ance ance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emer- gency during the period from November 16 to November 30, 1962, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Depart- ment of Finance for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: spreading assessments and checking assessment spreads and preparing Auditorts report, and bringing trans- fer book records up to date; and _ W EREAS, This emeri§ency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: two vacancies in the Bureau of Receipts and Disbursements and a shortage of experienced assessment clerks; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
