WHEREAS the 1962 Minnesota Twins Major League Baseball Team has
completed the recent regular baseball season, and
WHEREAS the 1962 Minnesota Twins Major League Baseball Team has
finished in second place in the American League of
Baseball, and
WHEREAS the 1962 Minnesota Twins Major League Baseball Team has
brought fame and glory to the State of Minnesota and to
the City of Saint Paul by near - pennant performance, and
WHEREAS the 1962 Minnesota Twins Major--League Baseball Team has
demonstrated skill, good-fellowship and outstanding
sportsmanship through the season on the diamond at
Metropolitan Stadium and baseball fields afar, and
WHEREAS the 1962 Minnesota Twins Major League Baseball Team,
through its desires and excellent play, has enhanced
the reputation of the City of Saint Paul and the State
of Minnesota as the Major League Capital of the World,
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that we of the City Council of the City of Saint Paul
congratulate the Manager and Players of the Minnesota
Twins on a very successful 1962 baseball season.
