TMREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from .September 1, 1962
to September 30, 1962, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week,
in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Maintaining a crew on the Labor Day holiday.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
Council File No. 209216 —By Robert F.

Resolved, That the proper City
officers are hereby authorized to ay
certain employes in the Department of
Public Safety, Bureau of Building
Maintenance, for extra employment as
described in the resolution.
