Re: Layout No. 3C, S.P. 6280 -01 and S.P. 6280 -22 (T.H. 35E =390) from
14th Street to Northern Pacific Railway.
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Highways has prepared preliminary plans for the
improvement of a part of Trunk Highway Number 390 renumbered as Trunk Highway
Number 35E within the corporate limits of the City of St. Paul from 14th Street
to Northern Pacific Railway; and
WHEREAS, Said preliminary planssare on file in the office of the Department
of Highways, St. Paul, Minnesota, 'being marked, labeled, and identified as
Layout 3C, S.P. 6280 -01 (T.H. 35E =390) and S.P. 6280 -22 (T.H. 35E =390) from
14th Street to Northern Pacific Railway; and
WHEREAS, Copies of said preliminary plans as so marked, labeled, and identified
are also on file''in the office of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, The term "said preliminary plans" as hereinafter used in the body
of this resolution shall be deemed and intended to mean, refer to, and incorporate
the preliminary plans as in the foregoing recitals particularly identified and
described;
NOW, THEN, RE IT RESOLVED, That said preliminary plans for the improvement
of Trunk Highway Number 390 renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 35E within the
limits of the City of St.--,Pau-1 be and hereby are approved.

The approval of preliminary Layout No. 3C of T.H. 35E
from 14th Street to the Northern Pacific Railway was.recently
requested by Mr. McCubrey. This plan embodies the so- called
L'0rient Street frontage road extension. It has been modified
to include a short distance of 32' roadway at the entrance to
University Avenue just west of the 14th Street bridge. Will
you kindly have the resolution introduced into the Council.
I am attaching hereto copy of revised Layout No. 3C
which, if you so desire, you may keep in your file.
