Dear Madam:
This is in the .matter of the application of the St. Anthony Park Bank to
install and operate a drive -in banking facility and 12 car private off -
street parking lot on property located on•the south side of Como Avenue
between Carter and Commonwealth Avenues and described as Lot 2 and the
northwesterly 16 feet of Lot 3, Block 38, St.Anthony Park North. The zon-
ing-is commercial.
The subject property has a frontage along the south side of Como Avenue of
approximately 64,2 feet and extends to an average depth of 168 feet. It
has a dimension along the rear of the lot of approximately 68 feet, result-
ing in.an area of approximately 11,104 square feet. East and adjoining is
the parking lot of the Children's Home Society; north across Como Avenue is
a Public Library; west and adjoining are various commercial activities; south
across a public alley is a nursing home which fronts on Commonwealth Avenue.
Field investigation discloses no basic objection as this installation should
help to alleviate the parking problem in this immediate area. The plans _
meet the standards for this type of facility. The Traffic Engineer has re-
viewed and approved the plan.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the
granting of the application for a drive -in banking facility and off - street
parking lot for 12 cars in accordance with plans approved August 16, 1962.
