the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in the Council Chamber
of the Court House and City Hall, in said City, as provided
in Sec. 1.07, par. 2, St. Paul Legislative Code, at ten o'clock
:a. m. on October 16, 1962, upon the advisability and necessity
of the repair, replacement, remodeling, or wreckiM and removal
of the two -story frame dwelling at 261 East Winifred Street,
more particularly described as Lot 18, Block 12, - Blocks 6, 7, 8,

the two-family dwelling at 261 E. Winifred St., as more fully
described in the attached letter of the City Architect.

Gentlemen:
There is a two family dwelling at 261 East Winifred Street,
described as Lot 18, Block 12, Blocks 6,!7, 8, 9; 10, 11,
12, 13 and 14, Prospect Plateau. `
This building is two story frame, very old and dilapidated.
I -t is open and vacant. Windows and frames have been broken,
electric wiring and plumbing are in poor condition and many
fixtures are missing. The roof leaks, floors are sagged
and out of level. Front and rear porches are in dangerous
condition. This building is dangerous to-life, limb, and
adjoining property and should be wrecked and removed.
The last known record owner is Aaron Baran, deceased. A
letter was•sent to Harry Baran, 7901 East Prairie Street,
Skokie, Illinois, son. Ramsey County Welfare Board, 476
St. Peter Street, St. Paul 2, holds a lien on the property.
A Danger Notice has been posted.
We respectfully request that you set a hearing date in ac-
cordance with Section 1.07 -2 of the St. Paul Legislative
Code, which section outlines condemnation procedure.
