RESOLVED, upon the report and recommendation of the Commissioner
of Public Worms, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized
and directed to reduce the amount of money retained under Comptroller's
Contract L -6431, dated February 28, 1962, contractor Northwest Floor-
ing Co. Inc.; Comptroller=s Contract L -6432, dated February 28, 1962,
contractor Pederson Bros. Co,; Comptroller's Contract L -6433, dated
March 2, 1962, contractor William Golla; Comptroller=s Contract L -6434
dated April 10, 1962, contractor Pederson Bros.;Co., contemplating the
construction of sidewalks and other improvements during the year 1962
in Districts No. 1, 2, 3, and 4, of said contracts, as originally
entered into between the City of St. Paul and the above mentioned con-
tractors calling for retention of 15 per cent of said contracts, and
be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper City officers are hereby
authorized and directed to pay to said contractors the difference
between the original retention of 15 per cent set forth in said con -,
tracts and the reduced retention amount of 5 per cent herein author-
ized, upon said contractors furnishing to the proper City officers a
properly executed request in writing for,the payment of said retention
moneys, consented to by said companies performance bond sureties.-
