1 WHEREAS, the City ns the W ergate Marina located at 2500 Crosby Fann Road and adjacent to

4 WHEREAS, the Division of Parks and Recreation has had a license agreement with Magnolia Blossom
5 Cnuses to operate a river cnrise operation out of Watergate Marina during the 2006 and 2007 season
6 pursuant to authorization by the City Council under Council File #OS-239; and

8 WHEREAS, Magnolia Blossom Cruises has operated out of WatergaCe Marina since March 1, 2006, and
9 the City believes that the operation of the Magnolia Blossom at Watergate Marina enhances the public's
10 access to the river-front and the related enjoyment of the park, and wishes to extend the term of operation,

13 WHEREAS, the Division of Parks and Recreation desires to enter into an agreement to extend the license
14 agreement January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2012, and

16 WHEREAS, the City owns the Watergate Marina located at 2500 Crosby Farm Road and adjacent to
17 Crosby Farm Regional Park; now: therefore, be it

19 RESOLVED, that the Division of Parks and Recreation is authorized to enter into the attached License
2 0 Agreement with Magnolia Blossom Cruises.
