WHEREAS, Rondo Avenue, in the vicinity of Western Avenue, has been desig-
nated by tf a Minnesota Highway Department as a haul road for earth work, and
WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul has in progress, in the vicinity of Rondo
and Wester ',Avenues, a sewer project known as the St. Peter -Rondo Storm Water
Relief Sewer, Section III, the cost of which is being shared in part by the
Minnesota ighway Department in consideration of obtaining drainage capacity
for Inters ate Highway No. 94, and
WHEREAS, Said sewer project involves the installation of a sewer across
Rondo Avenue in the vicinity of Western Avenue, such installation being esti-
mated to require up to two weeks, and
WHERE S, Mackubin Street and Virginia Street between Rondo and St. Anthony
Avenues and�Carroll and Rondo Avenues respectively are to be obliterated by
freeway construction in the near future, and
WHEREAS, Portions of St. Anthony Avenue between Mackubin Street and
Western Avenue, and Carroll Avenue between Western Avenue and Virginia Street
are to be reconstructed in the near future by the Minnesota Highway Department
as frontage roads, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That permission is'hereby granted to the general public,
including tie Minnesota Highway Department, for the traffic use in lieu of
Rondo Avenu , Mackubin Street-from Rondo Avenue to St. Anthony Avenue;
St. Anthony�Avenug, -frrom Mackubin Street to Western Avenue; Western Avenue
from St. Anthony Avenue to Carroll Avenue; Carroll Avenue from Western Avenue
to Virg-inia,Street,; and Virginia Street from Carroll Avenue to Rondo Avenue,
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That any necessary interim maintenance on this r
temporary by-pass during the estimated two weeks that Rondo Avenue will be
closed, will] be performed by city forces, and be it
