OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RESOLUTION - GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DATE WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from October 8th to November 8th which rendered necessary the employment Election Bureau, of certain employees of the City Clerkts Office,for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Preparing and checking voting machines; placing same in proper place after election; registering voters, Oct. 8 to 16 until 9 P.M. each night, Saturday included; Instr- uction Meetings for Judges, three nights; delivering supplies, etc, to judges election day; 6 A.M. to 12530 P.M. Election Day, And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstancesv Cothty and State General Election, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1962. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers arehereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
