Our office determined that the posirion has administrarive and supervisory responsibilifies for code enforcement that disfinguish it &om any existing posirions or classifications. Therefore, a new classificarion is being created titled Code Enforcement Supervisor. Tlus posifion leads vacant building, abatement, demolitioq and related acrivities for housing and code enforcement inspection funcHons for DSI. Manages the vacant building processes and Truth-in-Sale-of- Housing program to ensure compliance and improve housing conditions. Oversees legal actions such as hearings, summary abatements, and demolition processes for substantial abatements. Directs staff and coordinates efforts to address properties with significant compliance issues. Manages homeless campsite and related enforcement initiatives. Assists with the planning, development, and strategic initiarives for housing and code enforcement inspection. Performs other related duties as assigned. Suaervision Received: Works under ffie general supervision of a division manager or department director. Supervision Exercised: Exercise technical and/or general supervision over support, technical, and professional staff. COMPETENCIES Demonstrates a full performance understanding of federal, state, and local housing laws and ordinances including City housing maintenance, compliance, and building code and safety regularions.
