DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
A request signed by Commissioner Peterson was for B plan $75.00
maximum, effective October 1 -, 1962 for
John Pendy
who is a replacement for Officer Ed Schaber.
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS
A letter signed by Commissioner Loss reported the death of
Paul Patet, Building Inspector.
Therefore, the Committee recommends his removal from B mileage
$75.00; maximum, effective September 17, 1962.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
A letter signed by Mr. Eichinger and countersigned by Commission-
er Rosen and Mr. Behrens, requested B mileage for
Chas. P. Peltier
who was recently promoted to foreman and will be doing a major
amount of driving in a district <assigned to him. This request
was for $75.00 maximum,- effective October 1, 1962. The Commit-
tee recommends favorable action.
The removal of
John M. Cotter
recently retired as Superintendent of Sanitation from C mileage
$75.00 maximum, effective September 30, 1962, is recommended.
WATER DEPARTMENT
A letter from Leonard Thompson, General Manager., requested re-
moval of
Harold C. Speak.
from C plan $65.00 maximum, effective .October 1, 1962 as Mr.
Speak is now driving a city car. This request is approved.

tive October 1, 1962
Helen J. Miler, Substitute Home Instructor, $15 maximum,
effective October 1, 1962
Betty Schoettler, Substitute Home Instructor, $15 maximum,
effective October 17, 1962
and removal of
Clydel R. Manchester from C $45 maximum, effective October
1, 1962.
The Committee recommends that the Council take action to grant
these requests.
