Resolution Authorizing Acceptance of a Gift from CraigMichaels, Inc., Allowing Councilmember
Lee Helgen to Attend and Make A Presentation at the 2007 Sustainable Operations Summit
Whereas, under Councilmember Helgen's leadership, an initiative known as Sustainable Saint Paul was started to
look at al] facets of City operations to determine ways to make them "greener;" and

Whereas, CraigMichaels, Inc., is the producer of the 2007 Sustainable Operations Summit, attracting professionals
from across all industries to discuss a variety of issues including green building, alternative energy and
environmental management systems; and
Whereas, CraigMichaels, Inc. has offered to pay for the meals and accommodation expenses for Councilmember Lee
Helgen, on behalf of the City, to attend as both a guest and a speaker panelist; and
Whereas, the 2007 Sustainable Operations Summit is scheduled for Sunday, June 3, 2007 to Tuesday, June 5, 2007
at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico; and
Whereas, the invitation includes meals and three nights accommodations, worth a total of $1,000.00;
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize acceptance of the gifr as described
above, from CraigMichaels, Inc. and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council finds a public purpose for the attendance of Councilmember Lee Helgen
to attend said summit; and
FINNALLY RESOLVED, that the Council appropriates the gift for Councilmember Lee Helgen to attend and
present at the co�ference entitled "2007 Sustainable Operations Summit" from June 3 through June 5, 2007 in Santa
Ana Pueblo, New Mexico.
