PAUL COUNCIL NO FFICE OF THE CITY CLERK CO C E �.UTION- GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER WHERM, The Commissioner of Finance has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from October 16 through October 31, 1963, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Depart- ment of Finance for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: spreading assessments ^and checking assessment spreads and preparing auditorts report, and bringing transfer book records up to date; and _ WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: two vacancies in the Bureau of Receipts and Dis- bursements and a shortage of experienced assessment clerks; THEREFORE BE IT RESQLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the.employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councilts salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446. _ Council File , No. 215389 —By James T s Dalglish— J. 4 Resolved, at the proper City lofficers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the Department of Finance for extra employment as described in ,the resolution.
