In the Matter of condemning and taking for the relocation of Fire Station No. 1 by the
Department of Public Safety, the following described parcels:
Commencing at a point where the northeasterly line of Sherman St. in the City of
St. Paul, Minnesota intersects-the southeasterly line of W. Seventh St.; thence
running southeasterly along -.the northeasterly line of said Sherman St. 150 feet;
thence northeasterly and parallel with the east line of W. Seventh St. 60 feet;
thence northwesterly and para-Llel.with the northeasterly line of Sherman St.
150 feet,to the Southeasterly line of said W. Seventh St.; thence southwesterly
along the southeasterly line of -said W. Seventh,St. to Place of beginning being
part of Lot 9, Block 28, Rice and Irvine's Addition to St. Paul and including
parcel marked 28 in plat of Dayton and Irvine's Addition to St. Paul. Subject
V,5 to W. Seventh St.

The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above, improvement,Tl_and having. rconsidered said report, hereby resolves: ,
L:- That the said report and, the same is herebyAapproved and adopted, and the _said finprovelment
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is
to condemn and take for the relocation of Fire Station,No: 1 by the Department of
Public Safety, the following described parcels:
Commencing at a point where the northeasterly line of- Sherman St. in the City of
St. Paul, Minnesota intersects the southeasterly line of W. Seventh St.; thence
running southeasterly along the northeasterly line of said Sherman St. 150 feet;

with no alternatives, and that_the estimated cost thereof is $ 21,050.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the jrd day of
December, 1963 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court t I
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.,
