To the Honorable Mayor and Council
of the City of St. Paul
Gentlemen:
C.F. 212303, approved April 23, 1963,
as amended by C.F. 213183, approved June 6, 1963, provided
for the taking of lands for the opening, widening, and ex-
tending of the proposed Arch Pennsylvania Highway and in-
cluded the tax- forfeited lands described as Lots 3 and 7,
Block 1, and (except alley)Lot 7, Block 6, Fletcherls Sub-
division of Brewsters Addition to the City of Saint Paul
in Ramsey County, and State of Minnesota.
These lots were included in the condem-
nation for a nominal price with the intention of securing
from the State of Minnesota a use estate deed under the
terms of MS Section 282.01, sub. 1.
I, therefore, recommend that applica-
tion°be made to the Commissioner of Taxation for a convey-
ance under the above noted statute of these lots which are
unimproved, are zoned for light industry and QC0 residence,
and are located in an area which is predominantly commer-
cial in character in Block 1 and residential in Block 6.
