WHEREAS, Comptroller's Contract L- 6176 -17, Ashbach Construction
Company, contractor for the Grading and Paving of SHORT LINE
and ST. CLAIR RAITS, has been completed, and
WHEREAS, said Contractor requests that a portion of the 15%
retained under the contract from estimates for work done, -be
paid in advance of the final settlement of the contract, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner and the Chief Engineer of the Department
of Public "forks approve the payment at this time of $ 6,9DQ.00
of the $ {,915,76 retained; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the proper city _,officials be and they are hereby
authorized to pay an estimate in the amount of $ 65000.00 from
the retained percentage of $ 6,915.76 to said Contractor, and
be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall have no force or
effect unless the sureties on the contractor's bond consent
thereto in writing and file such consent with the City Comptroller.

Further Resolved, That this resolu-
tion shall have no force or effect un-
less the sureties on the contractor's
bond consent thereto in writing and
file such consent with the City Comp-
troller.
